Swappd Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Swappd ("the App") is an augmented reality mobile application that allows users to preview aftermarket car parts such as wheels, spoilers, and other modifications on vehicles using their device camera.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use Swappd and how that information is used.

Swappd collects limited technical and analytics information to operate and improve the app.

Anonymous Identifier

When you first open the app, a Firebase Anonymous User ID may be created. This identifier allows the app to function without requiring account creation.

This identifier:

• does not identify you personally
• is randomly generated
• is used only for app functionality and analytics

Swappd may allow users to voluntarily provide location information such as city, state, or country when requesting notifications about shop availability. This information is provided manually by the user and is used solely to determine when relevant services become available in that region. Swappd does not collect device GPS location.

Device Information

We may collect limited device information, including:

• Device model
• Operating system version
• App version
• Device performance data related to crashes

This information helps diagnose technical issues and improve compatibility.

Usage Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. Analytics events may include interactions such as:

• opening the virtual builder
• selecting or placing virtual parts
• completing or skipping tutorials
• navigating between app screens

This data is aggregated and anonymous.

Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports when the app encounters an error. Crash reports may include:

Push Notification Tokens

If notifications are enabled, the app may collect a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token associated with your device. This token allows the app to send notifications related to app updates or functionality.

Saved Items

The app allows users to save favorite virtual parts. Saved items are associated with the anonymous Firebase identifier and stored to allow them to be retrieved within the app.

3. Camera and Augmented Reality Processing

Swappd uses your device camera to enable augmented reality features.

Important:

• Camera data is processed entirely on your device
• Images or video from the camera are not uploaded to our servers
• No photographs of your car are stored by Swappd

Camera access is used solely to display AR objects in the real world.

Information collected by the app is used to:

• operate and maintain the app
• improve performance and stability
• understand feature usage
• fix crashes and bugs
• improve user experience

We do not sell or rent user data.

Swappd is intended for users 13 years of age or older. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Because Swappd operates using anonymous identifiers and does not collect personal accounts, we may have limited ability to identify or delete specific data associated with a user.
